Montessori Beginnings: 6-Week Parent-Infant Class for Pre-Walkers

Welcome to our peaceful Montessori environment, thoughtfully prepared for you and your baby right here in Lakeview East!

Designed specifically for non-walking infants (newborns to cruisers), this 6-week Parent-Infant program ($375 total cost per family) offers a calm, supportive space to bond with your baby while learning the foundations of the Montessori philosophy. Often called a “Nido” (Italian for nest), our Fit & Fun private Studio classroom at 3217 N Broadway Street is a safe, engaging haven that encourages your baby’s natural physical and cognitive development.

What you and your baby will experience:

• Freedom to move without restrictions: A calm space designed for your baby, that allows them the freedom to move and explore a space made just for them
• Better understanding of your baby: Learn to observe what your baby is working on and make sense of their development and needs

About Your Instructor:

This class is warmly guided by Mridul Bhandari, an AMI-trained Montessori consultant who holds a Master’s in Education. As an ex-chemical engineer, an experienced teacher, and a mom of two kids, she brings a unique blend of science-forward formal expertise and real-world, empathetic parenting insight to every class.

Who should attend:

This class is ideal for parents and their non-walking babies (typically ages 0-12 months).

Class Schedule & Details: 

This is a comprehensive 6-week program. $375 Total. Each class builds upon the last. All classes meet from July 10 – August 14 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Family Room Fit & Fun (3217 N Broadway):

• Week 1: What is Montessori? What is dignity-forward parenting?
• Week 2: What’s going on in my baby’s brain? What’s important, what’s not?
• Week 3: Movement as the Foundation
• Week 4: Language Development
• Week 5: Home Environment
• Week 6: Daily Life & Independence

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

As space in our Nido environment is strictly limited to ensure a peaceful experience, there are no refunds for this 6-week program. Exceptions are made solely at the discretion of the instructor.
