The “Cool Down” Experience

After a high-energy day at camp, children need a transition before heading home. Our After Care program is designed as a home-away-from-home where children can decompress at their own pace.

  • Seamless Handoffs: We coordinate directly with camp partners for safe transfers.

Founder & Executive Director

Kimberly brings over 20 years of experience building teams and educational environments. A proud mom of two boys, she built Family Room to combine professional rigor with the warmth of a community home.

Professional Background:

  • Education: Undergraduate and Master degree from Northwestern University Medill School with minors/focus in Psychology and Sociology.
  • Leadership: Adjunct professor, executive educator, National keynote speaker, certified executive coach, and active mentor to upcoming leaders.
