Are you enthusiastic, highly alert, and genuinely dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and memorable experience for families and children? We are a thriving multi-location children's activity center in Chicago, focused on uncompromising safety and exceptional service. We're looking for dedicated, part-time Engagement Associates who will float between our close-proximity locations, providing essential supervision and support alongside our salaried management team.

The Opportunity: Focused on Safety, Fun, and Family Service

  • This role is critical to our operations and brand. You will be the face of our commitment to safety and engagement, ensuring our environments are supervised and welcoming.

  • Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)

  • Target Hours: 15–20 hours per week (Schedules are predictable and provided approximately 2 weeks in advance).

  • Compensation: Competitive hourly wage + performance incentives for positive family feedback.

📍 Multi-Site Location & Flexibility

  • Our three activity centers are conveniently located within approximately one mile of each other and are easily accessible via walking, bike, or public transit.

  • Work Location: Shifts will be scheduled across all three nearby activity center locations (L1, L2, L3) based on operational needs. Flexibility to travel between sites is a core requirement of this role.

Primary Responsibilities (Safety, Supervision, and Service)

  • Your priority is ensuring a high-quality experience through active supervision and direct customer support.

  • Active Supervision & Safety: Crucially, you ensure we always have an adult employee presence that is always visible, and actively aware within the Family Room and high-activity zones, particularly during the Salaried Manager's scheduled break and closing procedures.

  • Customer Service & Engagement: Greet families warmly, process check-ins/check-outs, manage party room preparation, and handle basic retail purchases with an engaging, service-first attitude.

  • The Coverage Expert: Efficiently run the floor and manage basic operations during specific periods (ex: such as the Manager's Lunch Break (11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) and the Closing Rush (4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.)).

  • Operational Support: Assist the Manager with opening and closing procedures, ensuring play equipment and common areas are clean, safe, and organized.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Certification: Must be CPR and First Aid certified (Pediatric focus preferred). (We will consider the right candidate and can support on-job certification within the first 30 days if required).

  • Screening: Must successfully clear all federal background and security checks, including fingerprinting as required by childcare regulations.

  • Dependability: Ability to consistently adhere to a pre-scheduled, fixed part-time schedule.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts at any of our three close-proximity locations as directed by the management team.
